Afternoon Trip

Jeff and I teamed up with Justin and Curt today, we made a little half day trip in the snow and found a couple. Curt was running a little late so we opted to make a drift without him…..it payed off! Sorry Curt but it had been a while since I reeled in a fish, and wow what a fish to reel in! We found her in a shallow riffle, and she had a craving for a pink worm. I didn’t get a measurement on her but I would estimate her to be 12-14 pounds. Then we fished a few other spots, and found one more hatchery fish. The hatchery fish inhaled a yarn ball, after we netted the brat I discovered it had a broken leader about 4 feet long hanging out of her mouth. Not sure what was on the other end of the leader because it was all the way down it’s throat. Jeff took it home to clean, so I will know soon.
